Rates
Mental health care should be accessible to people across differences in income, identity, ability, and circumstance. My sliding-scale model is one way I work toward making comprehensive assessment more financially accessible.
Access and Sliding Scale Structure
I believe access to high-quality, life-affirming neurodivergent diagnostic care should be transparent and equitable. My practice operates virtually and on a private-pay basis, allowing me to provide comprehensive assessment without navigating the restrictive diagnostic criteria, insurance requirements, and administrative delays that can accompany insurance-based care.
To balance the sustainability of my practice with a commitment to community care, I offer a structured, honor-system sliding scale for comprehensive adult ADHD evaluation packages.
Every client receives the same assessment and level of care, regardless of the rate selected. All tiers include the same clinical time, comprehensive evaluation, standardized assessment measures, diagnostic feedback, and individualized recommendations. The sliding scale changes the cost—not the quality, depth, or scope of the service.
I recognize that financial circumstances are shaped by much more than income alone. Debt, caregiving responsibilities, employment conditions, access to healthcare, disability, discrimination, oppression, and other systemic factors can all influence a person’s ability to access care. This model acknowledges that resources are not distributed equally and offers flexibility accordingly.
Please choose the tier that best reflects what you are comfortably able to pay at this time. There is no application process, and no documentation of income or financial hardship is required.
Reduced-fee availability is based on current practice capacity and is not guaranteed. When reduced-fee openings are full, you may join a waitlist for the next available opening.
Tier I
STANDARD RATE
For clients who are comfortably able to pay the standard fee.
This rate supports the full sustainability of the practice and helps make reduced-fee assessment slots available to members of the community who need them.
Tier II
ACCESSIBLE RATE
For clients for whom the standard rate would create some financial strain.
This tier may be a good fit for teachers, nonprofit employees, individuals with high deductibles, or anyone whose current financial circumstances make the standard rate difficult to manage.
Tier III
COMMUNITY RATE
For clients who need the greatest degree of financial accessibility.
This tier is intended to increase access for full-time undergraduate or graduate students and individuals whose ability to access care is affected by financial hardship, disability, systemic inequities, discrimination, oppression, or other structural barriers.
Availability is limited so that these reduced-fee openings can remain sustainable.
How It Works
- Select Your Tier: When you complete the initial free 15-minute virtual consultation request, you will be asked to select your tier.
- No Financial Auditing: I do not require tax returns, pay stubs, or financial proof. This system relies entirely on mutual trust, community respect, and personal integrity.
- Waitlist Policy: If my Tier II or Tier III slots are completely full for the month when you reach out, you will be given the option to book a standard slot or be placed on a priority waitlist for the next available equity tier slot.
Insurance & Payment
I do not bill insurance directly and am an out-of-network provider. Payment is due at the time of service. Upon request, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Coverage and reimbursement vary by plan, so I recommend contacting your insurance provider before your assessment to confirm whether your plan provides out-of-network benefits and what, if any, reimbursement you may receive.
Choosing to use a superbill does not guarantee reimbursement, and you are responsible for confirming your individual insurance benefits.
